about lionheart
Hi, I’m Amelia and I’m the founder and lead Independent Facilitator at Lionheart Collaborative.
For 18 years, I honed my professional skills at Fortune 50 companies, primarily in market research and consumer insights. My role was to listen deeply to individuals and to translate their needs into creative and executable solutions.
Meanwhile, as the mother and daughter of people with disabilities, I gained first hand experience navigating California’s social services programs. When I enrolled my own child in the Self-Determination Program I discovered what an incredible resource it is, and I’ve been an SDP promoter ever since.
Now I'm applying my unique professional and personal experiences to help people with disabilities and their families access SDP so that they can be included and thrive in their communities.
I completed Guidelight Group’s Independent Facilitator training and certification, and I have access to a wealth of SDP resources. Lionheart is truly a collaborative — I actively tap into my connections in the Bay Area and beyond to solve clients’ problems quickly and effectively.
When I’m not helping clients, you can find me going for long, hilly walks in San Francisco with my husband, cheering for my son’s Challenger Little League team, coloring with my daughter or chatting up my neighbors.
